The mayor says that they didn't find Half Penny, but they found Wendy (a young, dirty street girl about 16 yo), an associate of his. Kyrrn returns Toll's Crow emblem to him before the group goes to rest.

Neferu eventually wakes Kyrrn after 24 hours has passed having been returned to them. He doesn't make much mention of where he has been, but was concerned about how Drago reacted to Lorrimor coming back. Tawni has been keeping watching over Myre, making sure he stayed unconscious.

• Leather journal, details exploring the catacombs and finding places like the Sunless Grove, describes an incantation in the Pnakotic Manuscript to open a portal at the Grove, giving him a chance to contact keen intellects beyond the pale

Wendy has red-hair and freckles, dirty and scrawny, and her attitude changes at the sight of gold. Talks about how they are friends and prowl the streets together, Kelath compels the truth from her (Zone of Truth). She is a survivor and is always looking for a way out. States Half Penny is "feeding the fishies in the Kingfisher River". He was killed about four or five days previously. Man deeply cloaked, wrapped up, and riding a horse, hadn't ever seen him before, gave him the message to pass along. With two other riders, the riders were sent out by Auren Vrood. HP's head was split open and his jaw removed. Said she got a good look at the horses (mental image). Mentioned they said something about Thrushmore. Drago speaks to her about any alchemy interest and Kyrrn mentions about getting the mayor to transfer the Hyve's church to Wendy.
The Star Moit appears as a warped chunk of burnt stone about a foot and a half long. Perspective changes, somewhat disorientating, as if looking down into a small chest that is sitting in her lap. Realize no longer where she was in relation to the group, about four feet above, sitting on a large horse with the chest in front and open. Realize just accepted the warped piece of stone and in the process of putting it gingerly in the chest, notice that there is another warped stone within the chest already. It is different, feels different, and place it next to it and place a velvet cloth over them. Sense of value, locking the chest, and returns. Not able to get any of the normal things from it, but has the feeling of it being alive with something waiting below its surface.
Led back down by the ghoul Tobyn to meet back up with Yareesh in the Sunless Grove. Delivered Myre to him, who makes him disappear and then asks to speak with Drago alone. Kyrrn is allowed to walk out with the Manuscript, who absorbs the knowledge of the other books as she goes. Finds that there are arcane spells within the book that are extremely powerful (such as Gate, Greater Teleport, Interplanetary Teleport, etc.). He seems to be looking at Gate, and she also looks at the ritual used to summon the Spawn. They seemed to be trying to open a portal to the other side in general, but allowed the Spawn to come through, intertwining themselves together. Kyrrn gains knowledge on Yog-Sothoth and other things going forward (spells, rituals, general knowledge). "Great Cthulhu is their cousin…"
Two witches, Aisa and Hetna (actually hags), Yareesh wants the third witch brought to him, whoever that is. Were last seen at the Festival of Lanterngeist in Thrushmoor, but seemed out of place there. Yareesh gives Drago a multicolored feather to contact him.

The group waits until Myre is returned to take him back to the Mayor to stand trial for his crimes. Myre reappears with his head shaved and numerous quarter-inch punctures leaking blood. Learn that the Star Moit could be dangerous in the wrong hands and that he could take it for them. He also learned of the Dark Riders that provided the Star Moit…
