Thassos
Thassos is one of the oldest empires in the worlds, Outliving almost every other empire set up before it. Thassos is currently a Theocracy run by the religious group known as the order of Ionar as Well as the church of Bahamut. Ionar being the god of purity and light. Although it welcomes people of other faiths, or the faithless within its borders. Thassos is famed for the artists and musicians which call it their homes. Many bards have been trained within the capital of the empire although many either have joined the Order of Ionar to use their talents to help the weak and inured, while others leave bardic school, wanting to move from city to city, doing what bards do best. The last major group within Thassos is the Mages University of Maeon. During the Events of the Black Sun Conflict, the Mages University moved it's campus to Thassos as a result of a plague hitting the Djinn Kingdoms of the North. The Empire is currently ruled by brothers Alexandros and Barthalemou each brother focusing their ruling power on different aspects of the Empire, Alexandros handles the Military and Economic aspects of the empire while Barthalemou focuses on dealing with cities many guilds, churches, and schools. Due to the Rising levels of the Sea of Mirrors a plan has been enacted to try and artificially raise levels of the land so that the flooding will not effect Thassos as a whole. The Mages University has been hard at work studying ways to do this.
