Auril has been referred to in correspondence, and by rumor as the leader of the Ice Witches of Kalte . Her nature is unknown, but the towns offer up monthly "sacrifices" to her and those that do not have suffered attacks from undead.
She is the cheif engineer of the The Great Darkness of the North . She seeds the clouds with ice crystals gathered from the Daziarn each night to bring an age of cold and Darkness to Kalte . She was slain by The Antiquarian Association at the fortress of Grym Skald .
Auril is also the name of the goddess of Ice and Snow worshipped by the Reghed Tribes of Kalte though opinions differ as to the relationship between the goddess and the person listed here. The goddess is known for her cruelty, and the harsh winter weather that constantly tests those that live in Kalte .
