The Antiquarian Association explores The Lost Spire in the Hrod Basin. They discover, and dispatch a simulacrum of Dzaan and Wrigley , his undead bodyguard.

The Antiquarian Association explores The Lost Spire in the Hrod Basin. They are led there by Striper , who stays at the surface with Kayla as the party descends.

They discover, under the ice and earth, and ancient inverted Shianti, or elf tower. The ruin is magically lit, and the party finds four layers of ancient ruined magical study rooms. Near the bottom they discover a simulacrum of Dzaan and Wrigley , his undead bodyguard.

The simulacrum begs the party to support a magical ritual that will confer true life upon itself. After providing the group with information, they agree and carry out the ritual to change the simulacrum from a copy of Dzaan to a truly living thing. While at first they seem successful, the new Dzaan quickly decays into a pile of decaying ooze that attacks the party. Wrigley exits the The Lost Spire while the party fights the black pudding.

At the surface, Striper and Kayla face off against Wrigley . When the The Antiquarian Association association emerges from the spire a few short moments later, Striper attacks and kills Wrigley by teleporting them both 300ft into the air, and then quickly teleporting to safety.

After a thorough search of the Spire, The Antiquarian Association decides to destroy the room that enables the conversion of illusory objects into real ones. When they arrive, they find that the room was already ruined by fallout from the earlier battle.
