The Black Cabin encounter

Expedition

The Antiquarian Association journeys to The Black Cabin to check on Father Johnathon MacReadus . They find him dead, but recover the Summer Star . They are attacked by Cold Light Walker s after sundown led by an Ice Witches of Kalte . She is slain in the encounter, and the party departs the cabin for Ljuk.

The Antiquarian Association departs Caer-Konig on their way to The Black Cabin . They are journeying there at the bequest of Cooper Knobberknocker to check on his friend Father Johnathon MacReadus who hasn't reached out to him in over three months.

As they drove their dogsleds among the mountains, Tripitika noticed a figure high above in the mountains casting a spell. A moment later, the party was fleeing from an avalanche that came sweeping down the mountainside. They sought shelter among a strong copse of trees. Following the avalanche, they were able to dig themselves out and continue on.

When they arrived at The Black Cabin , they found Johnathon MacReadus dead, apparently incinerated by the Summer Star . After nightfall, the group was attacked by a group of Cold Light Walker and a member of the Ice Witches of Kalte . They fought off the Cold Light Walkers and the Ice Witch was incinerated when she attempted to steal away with the Summer Star .

The next day, the party left for Ljuk .
