Ljuk
Ljuk is the primary port city of Kalte. Ljuk connects to Kalte to the rest of Magnamund via the Kaltesee. Like most towns in Kalte , Ljuk does not have any major temples but does have established shrines to Kai and Tulek .
Demographics
Ljuk is one of the more cosmopolitan areas in Kalte . It has humans of most ethnicities, and a smattering of Drodarin, or dwarf and Alfar, or halfling make their home in Ljuk.
Defences
Ljuk is surrounded by a 20ft hall wall made of bound timbers. Just inside the wall, at each of the the three main gates, are supported walkways that allow those inside the walls to look down on those at the gates.
Industry & Trade
Ljuk does a brisk trade in fishing and scrimshaw, but the major industry in Ljuk is shipping. Ljuk serves as the only port of entry from Kalte to those countries south across the Kaltersee.
Tourism
Of the various towns in Kalte , Ljuk is one of three towns that do a brisk trade in tourism. For those entering Kalte from the south, there are many that go no further into the wastes than Ljuk . From here, there are businesses that take the adventurous on sledding trips, fishing trips, and other extreme excursions.
