The Lawbearer Erathis
Erathis is the goddess of civilization, invention, and law. She is married to the Dawnfather
Pelor.
Symbolism
Erathis is most commonly depicted as a woman both strong and tall with a generally neutral expression. Symbols most commonly associated with her include a double-headed axe inset with a pattern of scales. This is often simplified to just a scale, as to emphasize her fairness.
Places of Worship
Erathis is one of the most popular gods worshipped by humans throughout
Centeria, worshipped most prominently in
Ascalon as part of the
Ascan Pantheon and in the
Three Kingdoms.
Luncia and the
Riverlands both additionally have some state support for her worship.
History
Erathis first made an appearance in Materia during the
War of the Gods along with her husband
Pelor, traveling to Materia from the
Astral Plane via the comet
Matrimonia to help impose order upon the fledgling world.
The
Cult of Melora depicts Erathis as also being the lover of
Melora during at least some of the
War of the Gods, although this is strictly contested, especially by more modern worshippers of Erathis.
