Illyria Sarsalas
Born a half-elf to The Sarsalas Family of Breland, Illyria is the youngest of 3 siblings. Her mother, Lys Sarsalas a full elf, was the head of the family during The Last War while her father, Henry Sarsalas, was commanding troops in the The Greywall Mountains. Her oldest brother Syd Sarsalas is the appointed family representative in the House of Royals in the Breland government in Sharn, The City of Towers.
Illyria always put up resistance to the noble life. She always turned down opportunities to join any number of respectable positions and was once almost married off for political gain of the family until she refused to be used as a pawn for her family. Deciding to take her future into her own hands, and knowing that she was a great shot with a bow and arrow, she joined the Breland Military and started to train for the special forces team. She saw some combat for the first 10 years of The Last War, mostly as a sniper and scout.
Once the Orcs broke into the countryside, everything changed for Illyria, the invaders made it all the way to the Sarsalas manor in Sarczal and killed all of Illyria’s family. The fiefdom was subsequently completely abandoned, and a mark of how much still needed to be done to restore the country to its former glory. She became the only remaining Sarsalas family member alive, but it was widely assumed she had died as well. When she found out about this atrocity committed against her family, she went rogue and disappeared into the wilderness, lending credence to the theories of her demise. She swore vengeance against those that wronged her family and with he new found fervor, trained against orcs even harder. Illyria met up with Zeratul, Atalis Liadou and Leumas shortly after the end of the war as she saw their desires closely aligned with her own. She would go on to complete The Soul Sword Quest and drew first blood against Balzon after hearing his gloating about killing her family.
After completing the quest, Illyria and Zeratul wed and together ruled the Fiefdom of The Sarsalas Family and restored it to its former glory.
She assigned Jack Fair, The Sheriff of Nowhere, the leader of the Eldeen Rangers to be the highest lawman in the land. Jack has kept his duty well the countryside was never more peaceful under his administration.
