William Allemand

Knight of the Rose

William Basset Allemand is a knight and sellsword under the Umeran crown, he bears the title of Knight of the Rose.   Although born in the less noble districts of Umera, William was always determined to ascend socially, reason as to why he decided to enlist himself to the city guard, soon after getting taken as a squire by a Knight from Velden. Although his name and identity are unknown, it is said that this knight was the responsible for training and teaching William much of what he currently knows.   A few years later, the young squire became an adventurer and started to take on contracts in the south, as he dealt with criminals, a few monsters and ran errands for guild masters. But it was only during his thirties that he became publicly known, as he got employed several times by the Dauphiné of Umera, Délphine Anjou.   In the year 1020, he received his knighthood from the Queen, along with his title. This raised some suspicion in the court, given the secrecy of the tasks that were given to him by the monarch and the amount of coin that was often paid, which would be enough to have a very respectable manor in the city, but despite that, the Knight seemingly kept living in his sister's house.
