Season 2, Turn 10
Days 16 - 30 of Fifth Moon, 408 AC
General Summary
Race Against Pirates, Continued
House Velaryon | SweetMeatPoe069Oh my… The Fleet is lost… 10000 vs 6000 casualties… A devastating defeat… Free City of Pentos | woolhammer (was and is woolhammer)
It will not have been in vain, my lord. Iron Bank of Braavos | {N.W.}[L.C.]DUTCHGAMER
It was in vain. This royal invasion is ridiculous. House Velaryon | SweetMeatPoe069
I mean, that was very embarrassing for me… House Oakheart | Jack Handy
Where was this battle? House Velaryon | SweetMeatPoe069
Our fleet was ordered to meet up in North Andalos Coastwaters, 10000 strong. However we were ambushed by an equal force, resulting in both our fleets of 5000 strong each being burnt down. We managed to take down 6000 of his though… House Oakheart | Jack Handy
That's one of the largest naval engagements in our lifetime, the loss sounds unimaginable. House Ryswell | Eddy
It was a cataclysmic event. The Ryswell Naval Guard sailed much swifter than the Velaryon leaders expected, and were the superior fighting force. The sea is a wasteland now, filled with wrecks and corpses. This battle will be dwarfed, however, with the 15 thousand strong faceoff between Braavos and this lying bitch of a Targaryen of Dragonstone. I myself sail north to take charge of the Braavosi fleet! As for Cerwyn's puny propaganda, we only sent a small contingent to fight Pentos and naturally that contingent is being defeated. Our strength is at sea! Free City of Pentos | woolhammer (was and is woolhammer)
The Westerosi blood the Braavosi have spilled must be repaid!
The Lemon Economy
House Dalt | XurreroJackson Dalt, in Lemonwood, sent a letter to Jay, in New Tide:
"One of our merchant ships has been assaulted near Cape Wrath Waters. They took 10K of lemons from Lemonwood and 50K of our opium. They were traveling to Deepdown. It seems the Skagosi like lemons… The next delivery will be 2 months from now. We have never been late selling our lemons. I have to ask you to travel to the Skagosi islands and explain the situation to the Lord Crowl. Don't lose our customer. Be careful, their laws are a bit different than ours..." Jay wrote back:
"Great, now I have to travel to the frozen hell where cannibalism is allowed. And I am the Salty Prince… Fuck it I’m dead. Everyone wants to taste the Salty Prince with lemons on his ass." House Crowl | Titus Breakwater
Titus Crowl scowls in rage as he reads the message from a raven speaking of his lemon shipment being lost. “FUCK!” He shouts in rage as he slams his fist on the wooden table, splitting it in half. “THIS CANNOT STAND! I WANT MY LEMONS!” House Oakheart | Jack Handy
The Price of Lemons has reached record highs as the supply of them is limited. The day and rich lords of the Reach are beside themselves. Iron Bank of Braavos | {N.W.}[L.C.]DUTCHGAMER
Braavos starts planting lemons along the Titan's Arm. House Oakheart | Jack Handy
It's too cold up there, so citrus plants would die with the first freeze. Iron Bank of Braavos | {N.W.}[L.C.]DUTCHGAMER
We are on a warm gulfstream. House Stark | John Of Noobslayers
The constant warfare leaves the small folk with even less money than usual; however, recent events have turned the illustrious lemon from a luxury to practically non-existent. The people, upon hearing the ship was bound for Lord Crowl, become enraged and rumours of Ironborn raids on lemon supplies for the North spread like wildfire. People flock to recruiting stations in their standards and the people of House Stark are more committed than ever in their fight against these lemon denying bastards. House Dalt | Xurrero
Erikson: "What the hell, lemons from Titan's Arm? That's a cool brand! They are innovating on lemons too, the world is fucked up!" Jackson: "Don't worry son, it is too cold there for having good lemons. I am sure that ours are better. We have a large lemon tradition!" Erikson: "And opium tradition. Maybe the mothers don't want more lemons from the opium dealers." Jackson: "Fuck the mothers!" Erikson: "That's what you want, little bastard." The man laughed. Jackson: Shouting across the table, "Respect your father!" Jackson threw a poisoned knife into the shoulder of his son. Erikson: "Are you insane, wtf!?" Jackson: "Alright, I will give you the cure for the poison if you listen to me. If you interrupt me, maybe time is over for you." He placed a small bottle on the table in between them. Erikson: "Oh shit there we go again! You are so…" But he couldn't finish before he was interrupted by Jackson. Jackson: "Time is running out," he chuckled. "So... what were we talking about? Ah yes! We don't need to sell to the mothers. They never wanted opium. We need to sell to the highlords, the rich, and the crown. All of them buy opium. And then invest it in the people. It's a win-win situation." "Do you agree with that? Anyway, maybe you should travel to Braavos and see how the lemons are going there." Erikson: "I must stay in Dorne. I can't." Jackson: "Listen to me!" He shouted once more, throwing a knife into Erikson's other shoulder. "You will go there after you heal from your injuries. Alright?" Erikson: Tears streamed from his eyes. "Yes. Can at least you give me the cure?" Jackson: "Oh there is no poison there, and this is wine." He picked the bottle up off the table again. "Cheers! To our family!" Erikson: "You are the craziest father I ever had." Removing the knives from himself, he then immediately throws them into his father's legs. "Crazy man you will not walk for 2 weeks." Jackson: "Well played. Now go to Braavos." Prince Erikson Dalt, Prince of Dorne and the Stepstones, Greenstone, and Rain House. The Sunny Prince, son of Jackson Dalt, grandson of Jack Dalt, of course, requests a visit to Braavos for checking out the lemon trees and the lemons of Titan's Arm.
