Archmage Mordenkainen

What Do We Know?

Mordenkainen was a human of unknown age (at the time of his death). He served as the Archmage of Enchantment magic for the Arcane Academy and the House of the Arcane. The archmage unfortunately met his demise back in the Age of Discovery, when in 1111 AD, Vecna killed him and the rest of the circle of original archmages to ascend to godhood. Mordenkainen is well known for being heroic in the battle fought against Vecna, rumored to be one of the last standing members in the fight.
Outside of his tragic death centuries ago, Mordenkainen is also known to be incredibly generous having gifted a large sum of his money and convinced the circle to allocate funds to the now named Mordenkainen’s Academy of Bardic and Enchantment Magic, a bardic college located in the northern city of Mahone. Outside of this, very little is known about him and his life before becoming an archmage for the Laidencross Empire.
