Little Post
"You ever wonder why there's a detachment of soldiers here? Yes the border of Druebar is right over there, and it's logical to have some security on the border, but isn't it strange that this contingent isn't just your standard border guards? You noticed there's a few clerics and war mages as well as professionally trained formations of soldiers, Not enough to spearhead an invasion, but certainly enough strength and experience to quickly respond if something were suddenly to go down. Have you also wondered why Lakecliff was never rebuilt? or when Druebar annexed the grasslands east and north of here that they left a good chunk of that area next to Lakecliff uninhabited? Yeah me neither." - Ramblings of some of the locals on a drunken night
History
Little Post is unique in the fact it was established without direct support from Bralor, It started out as a trading post to support what is now the Lakecliff Ruins. In 1506 AGF the settlement of Lakecliff looked to the neighboring country of Druebar for trade and support, the issue was Lakecliff was very far north and the grasslands to the east weren't annexed at this time (still very much dangerous and considered a part of the Wildlands). To make trade more compelling by reducing the length of travel Lakecliff established small fortifications at the end of Black River and at the edge of the Encarres Mountain range. Druebar couldn't help in it's defense on land, not wanting to cause a misunderstanding between the two kingdoms, but they would provide river escorts. In 1818 AGF the Bralorian Civil war had found its way to Lakecliff, and the city was bombarded, a small force stayed back while the rest of the population used the smuggling network and tunnels to flee the city, the majority heading for Little Post. With no knowledge of the settlement Highsummit turned it's attention to the Fortress of Barthmont, Little Post remained unknown for the next few years.
After the signing of the The Barthmont Accords survey teams were sent out to certify the national border (see Non Natural borders), It was then that Little Post became known to Bralor. If it wasn't for the fact that diplomatic tensions had been strained between Bralor and Druebar the entire situation would probably have been very humorous (if not a headache for the civil administrators). Little Post hosted a small garrison starting in 1827 AGF, the official reason was due it's close proximity to the Wildlands, the garrison remained even after Druebar helped Julian Bathazaar and annexed the Grasslands.
