Other Gods

Azuth, God of Magic

Prior the events of the Incusrsion, Azuth was deity of arcane magic whose concerns included the perpetuation ofworshiped by all manner of arcane spellcasters, earning particular veneration from wizards. His avatar was one of the chosen to close the rift, and resulted in being bainished from the realm.   A millennia later, as the mended rift continues to become undone and magic returns, Azuth too has returned albeit in a weakened form. Thanks to Gilles de Rais and the other Goats, the god's arch-temple on Rez Isle was activated in Sune 5249 AC, returning a great deal of power to the god of magic and confirming Azuth's position as One of the Four.

Bhaal, God of Murder

Bhaal, was the widely feared Lord of Murder, the god of violence and ritualistic killing. Since The Incursion he had been mostly forgotten, but a sliver of his essence woke within the mind of Eberond Il'Elaeren and formed an avatar. During the event of 6. The Clittering, Bhaal woke in full and became One of The Four.

Eldath, Goddess of Peace

Prior to the Incursion which saw all gods except Helm to be put into slumber, Eldath was a lake spirit who was often worshiped as a goddess of peace and calm waters. The Mother Guardian of Groves was a mysterious deity that acted as a protector of corpses and watersheds. The voice of the Green Goddess was heard in every babbling brook, her presence felt wherever there was calm.   Like many gods, in Valoris she remained a figure of prayer, but as time passed and prayers never listened to they become myths. Nearly a thousand years later, it would appear Eldath has awoke to some degree after Marik Schwarzdorfstumbled across her ancient, forgotten temple. Through the years, some of the pople he saved would go and take on her faith, and have created a hsmall religious faith in her name. They in turn herald her return, offering peace and healing to the lower castes and echelons of Merra.   Eldath was close to waking from her slumber, but was thwarted by Bhaal, whose Avatar murdered Primrose during the events of 6. The Clittering
