Fenrir and Garm

Fenrir is an important figure within the prophecy of Ragnarok. He is the wolf-child of Loki and the female Jötunn Angrboða, first of the siblings the pair spawned together. At one point he used to be the Aesir's greatest weapon but he has long since become their greatest foe. His existence causes great fear in the gods, particularly Wotan, who foresaw his own demise at the creature's jaws during Ragnarök. Much of what Wotan attempts to prevent during Ragnarök is due to his paranoia over Fenrir. As such Wotan had unbreakable chains made by the dwarves Brok and Sindri of Svartalfheim; with the help of Tyr, Fenrir was bound and cast into Muspelheim. He sits bound to an island riddled with bones afloat a molten sea. Garm was the second of the siblings, being only seconds younger than Fenrir as they were born twins. Garm was a gentle and kind wolf with a howl of serenity, much unlike his brother Fenrir who howled with rage. When it came time for the Aesir to bind Loki and his kin, Garm was driven mad by magic and killed his brother Narfi in his subsequent rampage. He would be captured and bound to the gates of Helheim where he guards its gates against the living in blinding madness.
Depiction. Fenrir is described as a wolf who grew into a monstrous size, he is bound by chains and his eyes, mouth and eyes burn with the fire that ignited Muspelheim. His fur is as black as the darkest void with red runes etched on his legs. Garm is slightly smaller than his brother Fenrir with glowing orange/yellow eyes. His fur is a shade of silver with prismatic runes on his legs.
Worshippers. Many lycanthropes and other groups alike revere the wolf gods. Those who are followers of Ragnarok and seek it follow Fenrir as one of its key figures. Garm is worshipped as a figure who guards the dead against the hands of the living. As such he is seen as a natural enemy to undead and necromancy in general. Though his worship is more so symbolic in this manner as the god is nothing more than an insane bloodthirsty monster. However, there are those who emrace madness who see Garm as their patron.
