Kuota
Kuota is nestled in a large grove of banyan trees and mangroves – massive, resinous trees with roots
that drop down from branches, creating a nearly impenetrable defense. The ground here is marshy,
hard to cross, with frequent pitfalls awaiting those approaching from unexpected directions. The
population here is calm, but insular as visitors are few and far between, and the surrounding
environment is harsh, if lush. Surrounding Grung tribes keep people here on their toes when fishing,
traveling the waterways to bring in other crops, or gathering resin from the surrounding trees to make
the incense for which the city is known.
The town itself is a collection of buildings and pathways built on stilts, and supported by the massive
banyan and mangrove trees.

Fresh water fish, incense
Architecture
Split log roofs adorn circular structures supported on stilts and pilings driven into the surrounding swamps. The lower class neighborhoods are closer to the swamp, with the poorest homes and businesses being positioned only a few feet above the swamp water.
The grander structures surround massive banyon and mangrove trees, with some temples even spanning a few such ancient trees.
All structures are wooden, painted vibrant colors reminiscent of the flowers and birds of the surrounding wetlands.
