The Melnean peoples have lived relatively peacefully for the last several generations, with inter-island raiding relegated to largely ceremonial battles, and holidays barely reminiscent of their violent history.
However, old ways have begun to rise again as more violent factions have begun to raid beaches, and sea-side settlements are once again looking to the sea with worry.
