Demthis

Also known as Morava-1, it is the planet closest to the sun in the Morava System.

Geography

Demthis is a highly tectonically active planet. Despite its closeness to the system's sun, it is large and under constant tidal forces from the sun and the close range of Morava-2. Volcanoes, earthquakes, flowing lava, and plumes of toxic smoke are common on the surface of the world.

Ecosystem

Demthis has a thick atmosphere rich in caustic and otherwise potentially toxic chemicals. Despite this, the planet is the only known Class 8 world to have a sapient species arise from it.

Natural Resources

Demthis is rich in sellable minerals. The only issue is getting to them. The unstable surface, makes it difficult to set up mining operations. Only the Skarai have been able to adapt to the ever changing landscape and conditions enough to make a profit from mining the surface.
