Master Alfric, the leader of the Company of Esaldin, leases the Amphitheater from the Crown. Alfric is a master thespian, playwright, and actor, specializing in productions for the royal court, the Laranian temple, and for many of the city’s wealthy.

Purpose / Function

During the summer months, this outdoor theater hosts many dramatic and liturgical performances by local and traveling thespian companies.

Architecture

There are long-forgotten hidden chambers and passages under the structure dating back to its construction.

History

The Amphitheater is ancient, built by the Dwarves nearly 3,000 years ago, for the elves, when the city was known as Meyvinel.

The building has been renovated many times over the centuries, most recently in 713TR by human builders under a Master Dwarven Mason's supervision.
