Walden Port
Walden Port is a trade town and defensive port for the empire. It is located at the entrance to the Scaled Seas, which is a dangerous area to navigate. The port is one of the few places in the empire that are allowed to freely interact with countries that the empire is not at war with. This freedom of interaction makes Walden Port an important hub for trade and diplomacy.

Mostly Humans, though there are a higher mix of other races than normal within this port town thanks to it being more open.

Walden Port is a trading town that is allowed the most contact with countries outside the empire. The town is a bit of a paradox in that its inhabitants are allowed to trade with outsiders, but they are also expected to maintain the appearance of a typical town within the empire. As a result, the town has a bit of a split personality. On the one hand, the town is more colorful and decorated than most towns within the empire, and it has a more lively atmosphere. On the other hand, the buildings themselves are still quite basic, and the town lacks the grandeur of other towns within the empire.
