Aislinn Dunaid (ash-lin)
High Queen Aislinn Dunaid
Born in 263 DR to to High King Lugh Dunaid and Queen Asfridd, she was conceived of the union of a Daoine father and a Northlander mother. She was a symbol of the union between the Doaine peoples and the Northlanders, and a symbol of a peace and unity that could exist between them. Aislinn's mother died in childbirth with her younger brother, Hugh II, when she was five. Since that time, she had grown closer to her father, even learning druidic ways through his teaching.
After her mother's death, some tensions began to grow between the Northlanders and the Daoine.
In 282 DR, when Aislinn was 19, her father, the High King, abdicated the throne to her. It was his hope that her mixed heritage would smooth relations between the peoples of the Moontide Isles and he remained on as an advisor to his daughter.
In 285 DR, Aislinn's father felt a calling to Myrloch Vale and he did not return. Aislinn's search parties found no trace of the former High King druid, but it was Aislinn's belief that he was called to The Feywild. She believes that he is there today.
