Wild Lands

The southeastern highlands famous for its expansive Boreal Forest . To the west is the Easter river and Holy Forest. To the east is the Broken root river and its Shoreland Marshes. To the north is the SunSea bay and To the south is the Frosted Sea. It has been ruled by the Warog family out of the capital city of Pit and Toane

Geography

The Wilds lands are the highlands located in the southeastern region of Morteron. Said to be raised as a sanctuary created by the last titans escaping the Titancaso . Thus, this region has very different environment for the regions around it. The Builder Titans attempted to create a giant plateau in this region. However, they were slain before completion the wild lands remain as a slanted plateau. The western border is markerd by a giant cliff side along the Easter River. The elevation the land gradually declines to the marshes and rivers of the Shorelands. Most of this land is covered in the continent’s largest boreal forest to cover the area.
Flying titans also redirected the wind patterns to make the region less favorable to humans. This magic meddling combined with the increased elevation, brings a colder climate to the wildlands that compared to land at the same latitude. This windy region also has longer winters and known for having snow on the ground as long as the land of Winters Cove. The exception is along the northern coast where warmer northern winds and slightly lower elevation meet to create a temperate forest of giant pine trees

Ecosystem Cycles

Due the magical creation of the region the wild lands have longer and harsher winters than would be expected. Most of the wildland have a layer of snow for majority of the year. Spring is marked by the snow melt and warming of the area. Summers are shorter here and are time for growth. The wildlands are known to be pleasant this time of years as the magically incused cold times but natural warmer times results in a comfortable temperature without the humidity. Falls are marked by the drop in temperature but since the area is mostly covered in evergreen trees this forest does not change colors with the seasons.

Natural Resources

Most of the Wild lands resources are derived for its wildlife. Towards the end of the Titancaso the living titan sought to alter the wild life of the region to better protect their sacutaury. the created pine forests and altered the animals to become larger and have certain unie traits. May of the cultures here have skilled huntinf tactic to collect their animal derived sources.

History

Given that this region was created and altered to be a sacturay against humans, the regions has fostered very hardy cultures. The orginal settlers of this region were the warriors seeking the titans during the Titancaso . They would then pass on this warrior traditions and values to their desendants. Many of these people take pride in their phyiscal strenght and ability to dominate their environment and foes. They also have a strong sense of comradery and respect for deserved authority.
