Shorelands

The marsh region along the southeast coast of Morteron . To the west is the Wild Lands. To the east is the Folkbane Sea. To the north are the the East Islands and the Sunsea Bay. To the south is the Frosted Sea. The region has been ruled by the Hearstrung family out of the capital city of Kings Island

Geography

The low elvation of the shorelands are perfect meeting ground for some of the waters flowing from the icelands and the run off from the wild land highland to the west. This collison results the splitter shape of the Brokenroot river. Combined with the loose ground soil and contact sediment deposit has made the shirelands to act was the extended delta of the brokenroot river. The land features a myriad of marshes, bogs, creeks and beaches.

Ecosystem Cycles

Surprisely the Shorelands remain realtively warm for their latittude. The Wildlands tend to block muck of the cold winters from the south while the north and east sea winds bring warmer temperatures. As a result the winter are colder but usually not cold enough of constant snow or ice. The region is prone to hot anf humid summers. Spring time is also known for flooding do to the new melt water from south.

Natural Resources

In term sof natural resources the shorelands feature a vast array of flora and fuana. It also is one of the most connected regions due to all the various of waterway routes. The soil is also very fertile, but extensive irragation is needed to control flooding.

History

The seasonal flooding and access to waterways has fostered travelling peoples of the shorelands. There developed techniques in transportation has lead them to ebcome leaders in trade and transportation around the continent. This also lead to the shorelands fostering extremly diverse and tolerant peoples. The culture that develop here tend to favor connection and delveopment. THey are open to new ideas and realiy adapt them into their own culture.
