Winters Cove

The cold south central region of Morteron . To the west are the blacklins. To the east are the marshlands . To the north are the Holy Forest, Bristlepine Forest and Autumns Valley. To the south is the Frosted Sea. It has been ruled by the Rumstag family out of the capital city of Royalion .

Geography

The southernmost and coldest region of Morteron. The southern regions are know as the Icelands as they are permanently covered in snow, ice and glaciers. This region is said to formed by the ice titans that their frozen corpses would form the moutains of Everice at southern coast of the icelands. These monoliths of ice are responsible for the massive cooling the whole region. All the moisture from the se aand north gets get cooled and falls as masive amount snow. the crashing waves of the Frosted sea Freeze to form larger mountains of ice, jagged ice cliffs or colliding icebergs. as you move north the icy mountains shrink to form massive glaciers and ice fields. Eventually as you travel north their melt and serves as the main source for Morteron's rivers an shape the rest of the landscape of Wintercove.

Due to the seasonal growth and recessions of the icelands glaciers the area Just north of the icelands is a region covered mostly in rocky thin soiled flatlands and river carved canyons. It is a region know for special stone deposits and unique formations such as caves and underground lakes. as you travel north the rocky soil gives way to tundra and flatlands. Here is where most vegations starts to grow.

Ecosystem Cycles

In the northern parts of Winter Cove technically has all seasons but it stays relavtively cold all year around. Summer temaptures in the northern regions of wintercov are about the same temperature as spring in the neighboring regions. in summer glaciers recceed and river levels rise. as autmn rolls around the glacier begin to grow again and river slow down. Winter cove is famous for its harsh winters with cold temperature and snow. The glaciers can even grow north past the capital city of Royalion. In sprig thr glacier begin to receed and the cycle begins again.

Spring time feature manny massive avalanches due to the melting and shifting ice and snow.

Around autum In the far south the icelands can have intense thundering snowstorms.

Natural Resources

Wintercove does not have many unique resources. However they are known for their special types of stones and minerals as a results of the growing and receeding glaciers. They also have the largst deposits of naturally would Everice, heaven tear, and everstone. they also have unique fuana and flora adapted to th cold.

History

Due to the harsh climate, cold temperatures and difficult terrain, the peoples of the winter cove are know to be strudy and practical. They also have are know to value tradition as that is what has kept them alive. Also the regions is commonly disregarded by outside forces. Would be conquerors quickly learned the war against an unforgiving environment and stubbornly sturdy people wasnt worth the few resources Winter Cove has. In fact Winters Cove was one of the regions to resist control from Sailous kingdom and empires.
