Biography

Born in Urgath on the continent of Xu, Demeris of House Hlaalu grew up to be a powerful mage and strong follower of Dunmeri religion. From a young age, Demeris has learnt to love the House of Ancestors (Azura birth mother of the Dunmer, guidess of politics and culture Boethiah, and Hermaeus Mora father of wisdom and innovation), and respect the House of Troubles (Mehrunes Dagon testing the will to survive & persist, Sheogorath tester of mind, Molag Bal tester of Dunmeri societal values against domination, and Malacath tester oft their physical strength).   At the age of 233, Demeris already shows his magical prowess having mastered multiple schools of magic. Throughout his life, he ascends to the highest positions Dunmer society has to offer. He led many successful Dunmeri invasions against the Old Kingdom in the West and is known for his interest in other cultures. Although a great conqueror, Demeris has always sough to understand the enemy and their culture to change it to his superior Dunmeri views.   At the age of 650, Demeris persuades the Houses of Xu to commence an Archonage against the Aldmeri Kingdom of Asvalon (situated in the Westfork). It is rumored Demeris is given a Dunmeri artifact of great might to successfully complete this mission. His military campaign is a great success, before he is lured by his enemy to march on the capital of Mulandir. It is here, he and his personal army are trapped by the massive Sonomancy spell of the Asvalon mages.  

Skills

Demeris is a feared and respected leader by his fellow Dunmer. Known to command some of the most powerful magic known to Xu, he is feared by all enemies who ever heard of the might of Xu. Apart from this, Demeris is diplomat until others have proven their usefulness.  

Personality

Demeris believes in the supremacy of Dunmer, but respects other lesser cultures nonetheless. He does not believe the Dunmer can fall and will always keep looking for a way to victory, even if this may seem naive.  

Ideals

Bring honor to House and kin, for only then may you find peace through the tests laid upon by the members of the House of Troubles.  

Bonds

Demeris does not hold bonds other than allegiance to his House.  

Flaws

Demeris does not believe he nor the Dunmer can lose a battle if they start it. All is guided by the mighty Daedra, and the House of Ancestors looks fortunate on him. Furthermore, he sees others as dispensable unless strongly proven otherwise.  

Diplomacy

Demeris once held many contacts throughout the realms of Xu but as time has passed, none of his former contacts other than Virli have survived.
