Tessa Saltspire

BIOGRAPHY

Tessa was born to a reasonably wealthy landed family around Denerim. As a child she was always exploring the woods and fields around her family estate. Through this she gained a fascination with plants. As the fifth child, she was certain to not inherit the family estates, but she showed great promise in academics. Advocated for by her mother, her father allowed her to study at the College of Windhelm. Here she turned out to be a gifted biologist.   Her research thesis concerned 'growing patterns amongst the normal cotton plant,' which led to more bountiful cotton harvests. Because of this, William Longblade showed interest in her. When Ralph Farstrider died in 1445, he knew this was his chance to start turning the Northern Frontier into a rich area for export-oriented farming. He looked to do this to be able to drive the upcoming powers in the Westfork from vital markets and shipping lanes. He also knew Tessa would be the perfect person to do this.   Although she had to overcome some local resistance to an outside appointee Tessa could lean on her charm to enlist the chapter to her cause of developing agriculture in the lands. It of course also helped that the new export crops started to rake in nice profits.

Skills

Tessa is a gifted biologist and botanist. She also knows how to play the harp and is a very avid chess player. Her skills with weapons have not been trained, although she has started to train a little bit with the commander in Dragon's Keep.

PERSONALITY

Tessa is an optimist and has a shining personality. Most people light up around her. She is a real studious person, who loves to venture out in nature to study wildlife and plants. She does have streaks of envy and jealousy, hailing from the competition for attention at home.
