The Mermaid's Tale, Inn and Tavern and Restaurant
Midrange, but safe and not too expensive, but not cheap – good place to find upscale work and to hear news of things and generally what you hear here can be trusted to be true and pretty accurate. This is were you will find bards and minstrels and story tellers who stop in for drinks and to get the news of the day. Often it is Bert the Bard. They have rooms for rent for overnight – some private rooms with fireplaces and some shared rooms also with fireplaces. The private rooms are safe while you are in them, but I would not leave your valuables there when you go away for long periods. Owner: Mark Copper. Bartender: Tommy, Waitress: Susan. The cook is Chef Louie. He has an accent (a French accent). Most of the time you hear him speak in English but when he really gets on a role – he switches to French. They have security.
