Hoprekael is one of the greater gods, her domain lies over the supernatural, hope, and ancestral magic, as well as supernatural beings such as vampires and lycanthropes.
Some consider Hoprekael the mother of witches, werewolves, and vampires, others see other origins for witches including the possibility that it was The Lady of Owls and Witches who gave magic first.
Even if The Queen of the Supernatural was not the original source of magic in mortals, she continues to inspire exploration of the arcane arts in her followers. Queen of the Supernatural herself is good and wants the betterment of the world, but one thing she sees as a betterment of the world is the diversity of magic and diversity of magical creatures even if some of those creatures. There are points in history where followers of her have cited being inspired by her majesty before leading a chain of events causing a terrible plague or creating a, sometimes literally, bloodthirsty supernatural creature.
