Aldt (Awld)
Divine Domains
Aldt is an ancient god of life, death, and balance. They are said to keep constant watch over the world, ensuring things are kept in balance.
Holy Books & Codes
Aldt's religious book is a treatise on the subject of the forces of life and death, written from a viewpoint completed detached from modern mortal understanding of the subject. It goes into incredible detail on minute subjects, while simultaneously glossing over subjects that philosophers have debated for centuries.
These writings were contained in eight codices, each corresponding to an aspect of life and death that Aldt deemed important. Though officially untitled, they have become known as the Codices of Life, Death, Deconstruction, Transformation, Hope, Fear, Bond, and Singularity. In modern times, not all of these codices are accounted for, and the locations of many have been lost.
Of them, the Codices of Bond, Deconstruction, and Fear are in the possession of followers of Aldt. Copies have been scribed, but are soon rendered inaccurate as the originals shift and change depending on the reader.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Aldt's teachings are completely devoid of the imagery found in most religious texts, and most divine symbols made to represent Aldt were created by mortals.
In Iccot the most popular representation is a white and black rose intertwined at their stems.
Representations of Aldt as an individual are rare, and those that do exist vary wildly.
