Arvok (Ahr-vock)
The Bloody King
The demonic god Arvok, also known as the Bloody King, or the Magic of Tazan, is one of the seven members of the Demon Primacy. He is well known for his magical prowess, intelligence, and patience compared to the other Primacies. Many of his servants deal in contracts, pacts, and act as magical patrons to those who crave power.
Divine Domains
Arvok is a demonic god associated with magic, pacts, and great power. Considered by far the most magically capable of the demonic gods, his demonic forces are more often seen on the material plane than most other demonic gods.
Some consider Arvok the 'lesser of two evils' compared to some other demonic gods whose methods favor more overt violence and slaughter.
Demonic Armies
Arvok favors subterfuge and patience, and tends to gather souls directly from across the material plane rather than passively capturing them with the soul harvesting most other demonic gods favor. His demonic soldiers are known to make deals fairly regularly, and often target mages looking for greater magical power. Arvok's armies have a greater than average number of incubi, arcanaloths, and pact demons who travel the material plane with aid of Arvok's plane shifting magic. He favors more powerful demons of a smaller quantity.Tenets of Faith
Worshippers of Arvok often pray to him for magical power, cleverness, and survival. It is said that mortals can contact a servant of Arvok by inscribing magical runes into their flesh and reciting secret incantations. His servants have little patience for the weak or cowardly, but often make deals.
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Arvok appears as a bloodstained, skeletal figure that floats along the ground. He is often depicted with countless arcane runes etched into his bones, glowing a faint orange. He is rarely depicted carrying any items or clothing other than a thin, translucent robe.

Personal history
Arvok's history is long, and spans back nearly to the creation of existence by the Ancient Ones, along with his siblings of the Primacy. It is said that the great god-beast Tazan, the Ravenous One, was a plague on all of existence and threatened to destroy all the Ancient Ones created. So horrible was its rampage that all beings across every plane amassed to defeat it. Following a battle lasting thousands of years, Tazan was finally defeated, and split into seven parts. It is said that Arvok was the fragment of Tazan's magical power, and he has existed since that day.
Recent History
One of the more notable instances of Arvok interacting with mortals was his creation of a permanent portal to the material plane located in Lishan. The most minor fallout from this was the release of hundreds of Arvok's minions into the world - until Vorozol captured the portal, and conducted his own siege on the people of Lishan.Gender Identity
