Honoured Guard
The Honoured Guard are widely considered to be the most dangerous soldiers throughout the Empire. Steeped deeply in the arcane, the Honoured Guard are masters of both martial combat and simple yet effective offensive spells.
They patrol only within the Southern Dominance, and while they are utlised for many purposes, one of their key functions is keeping the secrets of the Ran'Haldin mines.
Breaking the codes of the Guard is said to damn a persons soul, and superstition states that the dust spirits seen at night in the desert are the souls of Honoured Guardsmen who broke the code.
Culture
The Honoured Guard have a distinctly martial culture, and are generally disliked, if highly respected, by the general population.
Assets
It is thought that there are less than 1000 Honoured Guards at any given time, however they are all equipped with an assortment of magical weapons, and components required for casting spells.
History
They initially served as a personal guard for the Saahr, however over time the group has expanded to now be used for other purposes.
