Southern Dominance
Save for its most northern border, the southern dominance is almost exclusively desert. It is a land steeped in ancient tradition, and despite is prosperity it has been purposefully slow in taking up modern conveniences. Its most populous city is also its most southern - the sprawling Ran'Haldin sits on the edge of the almost entirely unexplored Southern Wastes, and is considered to be the edge of civilization. The dominance is best known for being one of the only places where Mal'Haran can be mined, and this dominates much of its industry.
Although it is a dominance of the Empire, Mal'Haran takes up a vast majority of it, and has been granted provincial status, meaning The Empire hold comparatively little sway here when compared to the rest of its land.
Although it does experience a pleasant drop in temperature, during The Darkening the southern dominance is considered one of the most dangerous places in the Empire, and people who leave their town or city during this time are not expected to return.

Fauna & Flora
Although the conditions are difficult for large animals to live in, small beasts often make their homes just under the sand. Although many are less than the size of a man, they are just as deadly as the beasts of other dominance.
The enormous Sand Crawlers which roam the Southern Wastes are also said to occasionally enter the Dominance.
Natural Resources
The south is mainly home to Mal'Haran, and is its main export. Other than that, there is naturally a great abundance of sand here which is used commonly for glass.
Tourism
The southern dominance is by far the least visited of The Empire
