Orc
Orcs were a humanoid race of creatures that inhabited Naneth beginning at the Age of Creation, when members of The Dead Three created them in secret. They are mainly a blight upon the world, although they have managed to merge themselves into a large country known as The Quaan Empire.
Description
Orcs were typically large, hulking, beastly figures. They stood on average, about 6'0" - 6'8" and weighed 180 - 240lbs, while Orogs stood and weighed slightly more. They often display faces of green or gray skin, yellow eyes, and tusks. Males and females both sported tusks, though males tended to have larger examples. Their bodies were usually twisted with muscle and bone, truly impressive athletic specimens. Orogs, the larger subrace, was even more imposing, featuring a mass of flesh and muscle that would rival the hide of the strongest Dragonborn. Orcs typically lived for 50 years, while Orogs could live upwards of 75-100. This is likely due to their heritage of being mutant creations. Their bodies are twisted machines of malice and evil, and cannot withstand the lifestyle most orcs are accustomed to, for more than half a century. However, most orcs die in battle before they even reach these ages.Subraces
Mountain Orc: This subrace of orc is the most common type, and make up the vast majority of the orcish population on Naneth. They were the originals, mutated from the elves during the Age of Creation. Mountains Orcs make up the bulk of The Quaan Empire's population and legions. Orog: Often mistaken for, and called "Trolls" or "Ogres", Orogs are actually a subrace of orc, that at some point during the Age of Fire, managed to come into being. Most believe that Orogs are Tiamat's attempt at correcting the orcish race, attempting to make them stronger and more durable. Most Orogs live longer than Mountain Orcs, and do not share the same disdain for the sun. Orogs are quite large, the smallest of them standing close to 7'0".Society
Culture
The orcs of Naneth almost all live within the confines of The Red Wastes, a region within The Quaan Empire. Here, they inhabit the vast deserts of ash and sand, building great cities from the red rock within the earth. Cities like Zahovaar and Mezorath were entirely built by the orcish race. Within The Quaan Empire, orcs live a life of hardship and violence, with large family groups belonging to large warring tribes. Spilling blood for sport, entertainment and the glory of The Dead Three is normal in orcish culture, making their lives somewhat dangerous and short-lived. Though most belong to separate tribes, when called upon by Quaan Cult, these orcs will join together, creating legions of war. All orcs recognize Bane as their creator, and worship him and his companions. They work tirelessly at The Dead Three's bidding, looking for ways to disrupt and destroy other life on Naneth.Interracial Relations
Relations with other races on Naneth are almost non-existent, as orcs have mostly dedicated their lives to the destruction of Naneth. What little interaction they have is left on the battlefield, where Humans, Elves, and Dwarves have met them countless times. Out of battle, these races also serve as slaves within the great orcish empire of the Quaan. There is even an entire city wthin the The Red Wastes dedicated to housing these slaves; The Slave Pits of Zahovaar. However, in very rare cases, orcs have been able to procreate with humans, creating the Half-Orc. These poor souls usually lead unfortunate lives, and those born within The Quaan Empire rarely live past birth.History
At the beginning of the Age of Creation, Naneth was created by The Eres, a race of incredibly powerful beings with several differing domains and personalities. But the one aspect they had in common; the will to create life. Together, they created the world and populated it with creatures of all shapes and sizes. However, most of The Eres wished to keep this world free of darkness and evil, and to this end, restricted several Eres of darker and aggressive dispositions, from creating life upon Naneth. Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul were included in the group, barred from creating life upon the mortal plane, This greatly angered them, especially the one known as Bane, The Black Hand. As Naneth began to take complete shape, and The Eres grew content with what they had achieved, Bane enacted his revenge. In an event known as The Betrayal, Bane and Myrkul stole away a portion of Eldath's favored creations; the Eldar. Whisking them away to the southern regions of Naneth, Myrkul began experimenting with dark magic and rituals, eventually managing to mutate the elves into a twisted and hateful being; the Orc. This event would become the catalyst that would lead to the conflict of the gods, and the subsequent banishment of Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul, to The Underblaze, though now they'd be known as The Dead Three. After they were created, the orcs began populating the south regions of Naneth, multiplying in the The Red Wastes. During the Age of Fire, they would begin to form great legions of darkness, joining with Tiamat and her campaign against humans. Orcs made up the bulk of her armies during the War of Fire. After the defeat of Tiamat and the release of The Mists, orcs within the Red Wastes scattered to the wind, seeking shelter within The Teeth or inside the great pits of Zahovaar. Orcs would end up surviving the Age of Mists, just as the other races of Naneth had done as well. Now, during the Age of Renewal, orcs have re-emerged as a power in the south, creating the incredibly vast The Quaan Empire. It is a country of unfettered evil, bent on destroying the other creatures of Naneth, particularity ones created by Eldath, Silvanus, and Torm. The Empire has been at war with Atmora for over 500 years, with no end in sight. However, the orcs will stop at nothing, as the will to dominate and destroy has been greatly ingrained into their very being. The will to serve The Dead Three is overwhelming, and they intend to see it through.
