Omella The Shadowrender: Head of the main thieves' guild of the city, which had grown immensely in power since she murdered her mentor, its former head, Madame Aletris and took over.
The Puissander Family: A powerful family of storm mages, who keep the port safe, using their weather magic to keep the seas calm, or to create vicious tempests as required. They're often hired by politicians and the wealthy to create good conditions for their vessels, or to sabotage a rival's merchant vessels.
