Tekang

Tekang is the ruler of The Empire of Kang. He is considered to be a ruthless and mercenary leader of a vicious and militaristic society. Very few have seen him directly, but those who have report that he wears a suit of armor that appears to have fused with his body, much like an exo-skeleton. Some conjecture that he and/or the suit of armor is a demon of sorts. His brutality is swift and severe. To hesitate carrying out an order is considered an instant betrayal and is met with capital punishment.   The society under Tekang's rule is structured with a rigid hierarchy, where strength and martial prowess are highly valued. The populace is trained from a young age in the arts of war, making them formidable warriors. The culture, while rich in traditions of warfare and discipline, is also marked by a certain bleakness, as the constant state of vigilance and aggression leaves little room for artistic or intellectual pursuits.   Tekang himself is seen as a ruthless and mercenary leader, embodying the values of his world. His governance is marked by an iron fist, with dissent being swiftly and brutally crushed. Despite his harsh rule, or perhaps because of it, the Empire is highly organized and efficient in its operations, with a strong, well-equipped army that is feared by its neighbors.   In this world, espionage, political intrigue, and power plays are common, as various factions within the society vie for influence and favor with Tekang. This internal competition often spills over into neighboring lands, leading to frequent skirmishes and attempts at expansion.   Despite its focus on militarism and conquest, there are undercurrents of rebellion and discontent among certain segments of the population, who long for a different way of life, away from the endless cycle of warfare and dominance. These dissenting voices, however, are often silenced, leading to an atmosphere of fear and suspicion.   Overall, The Empire of Kang under Tekang's rule is a place of stark contrasts, where the glories of military achievements are celebrated, but at the cost of personal freedoms and a pervasive sense of unease and brutality. Despite this, the citizens of the The Empire of Kang truly believe that they are the saviors of the world and that Tekang is their savior.

History

Mentaur's early years were shaped by the influences of The Empire of Kang, where he was born and raised. His remarkable abilities and exceptional intelligence quickly set him apart, earning him widespread recognition within the military ranks. This reputation eventually caught the attention of the Empire's ruler, Tekang. Subsequently, Mentaur began serving directly under Tekang, tasked with executing the ruler's clandestine operations, notably Tekang's own "hit list."   The details surrounding one specific assignment remain shrouded in mystery, particularly the identity of the intended target. However, it is a matter of public record that Mentaur was given a direct order by Tekang to assassinate an individual, an order which Mentaur chose to defy. Refusing Tekang's command was not only an act of rebellion but also a violation of the empire's stringent laws, where declining any directive from Tekang is deemed a capital offense.   As a result of this insubordination, Mentaur became a fugitive with a substantial bounty for his capture - $50 million for his return alive and $5 million if deceased. Despite this hefty reward, no one has yet succeeded in apprehending Mentaur, whose elusive nature continues to defy the efforts of bounty hunters and authorities alike.
