Order of the Ghostslayer
Structure
Like its sister orders, the Ghostslayers have a ruling Grandmaster, but it has a far more rigid power structure below that. A council of thirteen known as the Crow's Choir, oversees all deployed Blood Hunters of the their order. The Crow's Choir also selects new Grandmasters when the position has a vacancy.
Culture
The most macabre of the three orders, Ghostslayers are known for being curt, detached, and only meeting the bare minimum standard of cooperation with elements not involved with the hunting of undeath itself. They are taught that while life is a precious thing worth protecting, they are taught not to grow attached to it. All life should and eventually does die. They take no qualms with those who hold off death, so long as it is not through necromantic means, as their own lifespans are drastically extended via the Hunter's Bane. But when life is extended via the live force of others or life is restarted in a perverted state, they believe no mercy should be afforded to the transgressors. The order officially, holds allegiance to the god Kelemvor, though the strength of religious conviction is largely up to each individual members own choice.
Public Agenda
Members of the Ghostslayers seek out and study the moment of death, obsessing over the mysteries of the transition and how it can become corrupted by unholy powers to rise once more. Tuning their abilities to annihilate such abominations, these zealous Blood Hunters seek out the sources of such necromantic energies, intent to destroy them wherever they arise.
