Abilities

Once players have progressed far enough along the Upgrade Trees, two Abilities can be selected for simultaneous use; one offensive and one defensive. These are then mapped to two separate inputs  and are able to be used indefinitely as long as there is enough Ability Charge to activate them.   Both Abilities share the same Charge meter. Activating either requires one full Charge to be available. The Ability meter automatically regenerates over time. By default, the maximum amount of Charges is one, however this can be modified with Skills, Gear, and Items. The meter’s recharge rate can be accelerated as well.   If an Ability is activated but there is not a full Charge available, the meter will flash red and a subtle audio cue will play indicating it cannot be used.   These Abilities are generally chosen before entering a Combat area while in a Safe Zone. They can be modified at any time however, but making any changes to the selected Abilities will reset any current Charge they have accumulated.
