High Elf

The Torva’Shal (Translated as “Elves of the Arcane”) or as they are more commonly known, High Elves, originate from the Fallen City of Embrel. 
Due to the levels of arcane magic in the area when the city was land-bound, the long-lived High Elves have changed on a physiological level from their original species. This is evident in the appearance of High Elves. While it can differ drastically the most common change is that High Elves tend to have glowing eyes (Usually blue, purple, or gold, but green and other colors aren’t unheard of), and a purple or blue skin-tone is not uncommon nor is oddly colored or even glowing hair.
This has made them especially proficient in the magical arts, with even the least magically talented High Elf being able to cast spells, even after The Shifting.
High Elves mostly reside in their Fallen City of Embrel but can be found throughout Kalin in small numbers.

Genetics and Reproduction

Ever since The Shifting, High Elves (along with other Elves) have had extremely low rates of fertility, making new Elven babies a rarity. This has hit Embrel extremely hard.

High Elves mostly reside in their Fallen City of Embrel but can be found throughout Kalin in small numbers.

If any High Elves exist in Efaanu, they do so as transplants or far travelers.

In Wahar

If any High Elves exist in Wahar, they do so as transplants or far travelers.

In Archin

If any High Elves exist in Archin, they do so as transplants or far travelers.

While it was formerly accepted that High Elves lived, on average, 1000 years, The Shifting has changed this. The current estimated lifespan of High Elves is roughly 2000 years, but that is a guess. It may be longer.
