Seralune

Seralune is a small town just outside the kingdom of L'Anth. It is built on the banks of the Kappusack river. The town is mostly known as a stopping point for trade heading to or from Al'Watra.

Description

Seralune is built on the banks of a large river, and on the edge of the Caligo Jungle. The edges of the town are mostly wooden structures built in the style of the Caligo Elves, built around the tall jungle trees, dirt roads lined with grass and smaller greenery, ivy climbing up the walls of the buildings, etc. As you get to the center of the town, the architecture changes to that of the Chromadian Elves, as they were the original founders of Seralune. The buildings are made of expertly masoned stone hauled from the Golden Peaks. The buildings are taller and more slender, with rounded corners and more elaborate and artistic designs.

Inhabitants

The primary inhabitants of Seralune are Elves, both Chromadian and Caligo. The town also has a fair number of Lizardfolk from the nearby jungle, as well as a small population of Human, and Halfling. Seralune's location along a trade route means that folk of many types will stop by on their way into or out of L'anth, and as such it is not entirely unusual to see all sorts of races staying in the inns here.

History

Seralune was originally founded around 1000 years ago since it was a natural stopping point for the increasing number of people heading towards to new city of Mortuem which was increasingly growing at the time. Seralune grew as the traffic passing through it did, with more inns and docks and workers coming to support the increased demand. As the town grew, more traders began using this route to transport goods into L'Anth as well, in particular to the city of Al'Watra. Once Mortuem fell, Al'Watra became the primary destination of the travelers passing through.

Government

Seralune is governed by a council of merchants representing the largest merchant guilds doing business through the town, those being the Vairean Flame, the Lightningbrand and the Elderheart Company. These representatives do their best to ensure that business continues to run smoothly and that the occupants of the town are satisfied enough to keep working.

Places of Interest

• The Lying Rose. The most high-end place to stay in the city, most popular among the richer merchants and people of import traveling through the town.
• The Scattered Spider. A popular inn for the less wealthy visitors of the city such as adventurers and workers on trade ships.
• The Moonspire. A tower built near the center of the city, its home to a modest library as well as some private laboratories.
