Salinmoor
On the extreme southern coast of Keoland lies the Viscounty of Salinmoor. This hinterland is kindly described as "sleepy, backwater, superstitious, and economically irrelevant". Salinmoor is bordered on the north by the eastern edge of The Dreadwood forest and on the west by the neighboring Hool Marshes Protectorate. These protectorates have few roads leading to northern parts of Keoland and thereby isolating Salinmoor from royal control. Providing access to trade routes, the Azure Sea borders it's eastern and southern edges.
There are three main cities within Salinmoor. The first, the dwarven city of Waverock, sits along it's northeastern coast. Next is the city of Redshore on an island at the most southeastern point. Finally, Seaton recently became the center of government when Duke Marik Feldren based his Keoland Navy there.
In addition, there is a smattering of villages and outposts throughout the region. The most notable of these include Nine Oaks in the northwestern edge, Saltmarsh along the middle coast, Burle which is an outpost whose occupants patrol the portion of the Dreadwood that dips into Salinmoor, Splitrock across from Seaton, and Anglar just south of Waverock.
This region, mostly famous for it's fishing industry, is far from the politics and schemes of the capital and holds few known natural resources. While there is trade moving through this region, it's based on the raw resources of fish and timber. There isn't sufficient infrastructure to support more complex industries even if additional resources were discovered and harnessed. The sharp peaks of the Giant's Teeth mountain range in the east holds potential for mining and buried ancient civilizations. Finally, the open plains along the Kingfisher River banks provide ample farmland for those strong enough to keep it.
