It is difficult to estimate the population of Dreibach's territory because of its disputed and ever-changing borders. Depending on how much of the western and northwestern disputed territories are included, it ranges anywhere from 12 million to 18 million. Most of the population lives in hamlets and villages scattered across the countryside.
