Eladrin
The Eladrin are sentient Seelie Fey with a strong resemblance to elves. They make up the majority of "ordinary" citizens of the Feywild.
Eladrin live in the Spring Court, the Summer Court, the Autumn Court, and the Winter Court, and have adapted their appearance to suit their season. The Autumn and Winter eladrin are much fewer in number, and host quasi-embassies from the Seelie in their given Unseelie courts.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Eladrin all have the same biological sex. An eladrin can only become pregnant via a special ceremony at the Tree of All Seasons, in the center of the four seasons' domains, on the day of their season's greatest power (summer and winter solstices or autumn and spring equinoxes). In a special ceremony, two eladrin are chosen by the tree. They give birth one year later. Though the child is nurtured and celebrated by the eladrin's entire village or commune, they always display a particular bond towards their parent, and to a lesser extent their parent's romantic partners.

Gender Ideals
Eladrin have no concept of gender. The Sylvan language uses an exclusive set of pronouns, eibh/sibh/sibhar, to refer to them, though they are not the only fey species to have a specialized set of pronouns. Scholars writing about them in Common and Elvish tend to defer to the Elvish Istyima pronouns of ey/em/eir to refer to any individual eladrin.
