Twin Kinships

"Twin kinships" is the sages' name for the phenomenon wherein the sun elven and moon elven share more in common with each other than with the wood elven and high elven cultures, and vice versa. The twin kinships are said to mirror the divide between the Seelie and Unseelie courts of the Feywild.

Summary

Wood and high elves are the progenitors of the Kingdom of Scalados. Collectively, they are considered the primary drivers of Elvish will upon the geopolitical events of Belcantas.
In contrast, sun elves and moon elves are largely an afterthought in Scaladosian politics. However, they are two of the most influential ethnicities in the Aquatic Kingdoms. Though the exact origin of sea elves is unclear, they claim aspects of both sun elven and moon elven cultures, as well as unique elements stemming from the cultural diversity of the Near Isles.
