Moon Elf
Moon elves are a subrace of Elf known for their striking physical appearance and their natural affinity for natural and artistic beauty. According to legend, the moon elves are the descendants of the tribe uplifted by Titania, the Queen of the Summer Court.
They are usually considered the rarest of the elven tribes; however, as their distinctive jewel-toned skin seems to be a recessive gene, this may only be a visual consideration. Moon elf culture places a high emphasis on hospitality, and particularly on being a gracious guest; thus, moon elves will often defer to the culture around them, both out of a sense of etiquette and a desire to study its most beautiful aspects. Therefore, moon elves with weaker genetic ties to the original tribes (and therefore less recognizably moon-elven physical features) are often mistaken for other elves, usually high elves.
Cantonova is the de facto "capital" of moon elf society; most sources agree that its founders were moon elves. There are also many moon elves in the Near Isles and the rest of the central and southern Aquatic Kingdoms.

Major language groups and dialects
The Elvish spoken by moon elves is heavily tinged with expressions and loanwords taken from Sylvan. Moon elves are more likely than any other elven culture to know at least basic Sylvan.

"Truth is beauty, beauty truth; that be all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."Moon elves prize that which is sublimely beautiful or artistically inspiring above all else. To moon elf society, aesthetic beauty is a moral good in and of itself.
Art & Architecture
Moon elves produce a vast wealth of art and architecture. Their architecture can be seen especially in the Cuarto Almaviva district of Cantonova, with its jewel-like colors, striking domes and spires, and elaborately decorated archways. Moon elf paintings, tapestries, and fashion are similarly characterized by bold, dramatic shapes and colors, and often the use of enchanted pigments, threads, or other materials that would not be possible in nature.

Beauty Ideals
The moon elves are unique among mortals (except for the planetouched) for the highly saturated blue and purple shades of their skin. More saturated and jewel-like skin tones are considered the most beautiful.
While most moon elves have either black or white hair, a few naturally grow brightly colored hair in shades ranging from deep emerald green to pastel pinks and purples. Colorful hair is highly sought after and often imitated by applying potions or illusory magic to one's hair.
