Gunpowder
Gunpowder, also called blackpowder, dragon-powder and fire gold, is the black, powdery substance whose ignition is required to propel a projectile from any type of firearm or cannon. It is sold in small kegs or in horns stopped with wax to prevent moisture from ruining the powder. Each dose of gunpowder is good for one shot. Gunpowder quality varies greatly.
In any event, regardless of craftsmanship, gunpowder will not fire if wet. It must be dried before it can be used.

History & Usage
History
Theearliest known uses of blackpowder was during the Great God War by the dwarves. The sources of when exactly and who discovered has been lost to time, but it is certain that he was created by the dwarven races before the end of the god war.
After the Great God War, knowledge of blackpowder was a tightly kept secret amongst the dwarves, but this knowledge would leak during the wars against the tyranny of Prince Sieghardt. The usage of blackpowder didn't become commonplace in most areas, but it did in The Empire of Man with it fully being ingrained with the founding of the Imperial Academy by Emperor Klaus the Savior.
In Continent of Empires/Paros, it is known as dragon-powder, however usage of it has fallen out of favor for it being too weak and costly to make.
