Hagia Sophia
The Knight of Gui de Lusignan, brought with him from Normandy as part of the Damocles Crusade. The Questoris-class Knight, originally named Sapientia (High Gothic: Wisdom), was captured along with its master by the T'au after the Battle of Ha'tin. Examined and reverse-engineered by T'au Earth-caste technicians, Sapientia was dismantled to reveal its secrets and the secrets of Knight manufacture. When Gui's release was secured by the Order of Bethany Sapientia was also returned. The Sororitas rebuilt and repaired it, renaming it Hagia Sophia (Gotthikós: Holy Wisdom). Despite having been dismantled by aliens who did not understand it and reassembled by religious Sisters rather than mechanics, Hagia Sophia functions well-beyond the normal performance-envelope of a Knight of its class, history and age. While verging on techno-heresy, some speculate that the T'au's evidence-based science and the Sister's ignorance of and failure to observe techno-ritualism may have contributed to the Knight's efficiency and high performance.
