La Reine d'Outremer is the supreme legislative authority, but Le Haute Cour (Gothique: the High Court) is her advisor and handles day-to-day legislative and administrative duties.

Judicial Body

La Reine d'Outremer is the supreme judicial authority and in theory the court of final appeal, but in practice she is beyond petition and hears cases only at whim. Similarly, Le Haute Cour has judicial powers but only the most important Outremarin could have a case heard there. La Main de la Reine is the kingdom's chief justice and empowers lower courts and enforcers to keep the peace and arbitrate quarrels.
