Responsibilities

The Director of Negotiation carries the weight of much of Peacekeeper Diplomacy on their shoulders. This includes:

Setting Priorities

Work with the Head of Peacekeeper Diplomacy and other directors to set priorities for a negotiation.

Defining Resource

Deciding where to place which Emissaries and which requests to allow during a negotiation.

Facilitating High-Priority Negotiations

Personally attending and leading negotiations with high-priority targets.

Team Management

Ensuring the training and representation of staff within Negotiation.

The Emissaries within Negotiations handle the meat of the Diplomatic Pillar.
They are the face of The Alliance to potential new worlds and represent The Alliance's best interests in the creation and signing of new treaties.

Qualifications

In order to step into the position of Director of Negotiation, there are several routes a person could take. These include:

Orthodox Route

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Min 10 years working within Peacekeeper Diplomacy under Negotiation

Unorthodox Route 1

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Time spent within Peacekeeper Diplomacy outside of Negotiation:
  • Staying within P'Ache Star System: Min 10 years
  • Travelling beyond the P'Ache Star System: Min 5 years
• Min 5 years working within Peacekeeper Diplomacy reporting directly to the Director of Negotiation

Unorthodox Route 2

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Time spent within another branch of Peacekeeper Command including Peacekeeper Integrity and Peacekeeper Efficiency:
  • Staying within P'Ache Star System: Min 15 years
  • Travelling beyond the P'Ache Star System: Min 10 years
• Min 5 years working within Peacekeeper Diplomacy reporting directly to the Director of Negotiation
