At various times throughout its history, the Blackpowder Coast has been united in powerful cartels, where prices and other matters of policy are agreed amongst the various merchant-nobles and their company

First: Founded in 1305 and lasting until 857 Less Foreseen, the first cartel was by an order of magnitude the longest-lasting, most powerful, and most influential of the lot. The Blackpowder Coast reached its greatest extent under this cartel.
Fourteenth: founded in 413LF and engaged in a long war - both trade and military -over control of Elritund . after its collapse in 320, the Trader's League Accords were signed.
sixteenth: founded in 135 Less Foreseen, the most recent of the cartels. considerably more vital, powerful and long-lasting than any cartel since the first, by the Year Foreseen it is considerably on the decline, once more the "sick old man" of the Isthmus. Based in Keggum.
