Elritund
Infusions: Phosphor.
One important port on the Bindkelp Sea is the island of Elritund, some hundred miles north to south and thirty-odd wide at the widest. Fortuitously located for several important Oceanic routes, it also serves as a safe harbour, for the seas around it are clear of bindkelp. Indeed, the waters around Elritund are one of the most remarkable sights in all the world, for they glow with a powerful, milky light, casting shadows of ships onto the clouds above.
Questions:
- Is Elritund's location as a trade hub unrealistic?

Geography
The soil of Elritund's mountainous interior is rich in Phosphor, which is washed into the water, producing two large lakes that glow too brightly to look at directly. These flow down into the streams and rivers, of the palm-tree'd and farmed lowlands before gradually diluting out into the ocean.
The climate is warm, humid, and tropical all year round.
two large ports - Eastport and Westport, synonymous with Elritund to most - are where where folks from every part of the world intermingle and trade. each covers the entirety of the two large, natural bays on the island, in the northeast and southwest respectively. The lights on every street corner are vials or sacs of spring-water, often tinted with pigments to glow in every imaginable shade. But every port has its underbelly, and sometimes lights just make the shadows darker. ferries run continually between the two ports, making them feel like one bisected city rather than two rival enterprises.
