Qualifications

They need to be part of the bloodline the crown is tied to. If no bloodline is left usually a civil war breaks out between power hungry nobles.

Appointment

There is a ceremony that takes place to solidify the person being king. The ceremony looks different in other kingdoms depending on the race and kingdom itself.

Duties

They run and take care of the kingdom they rule. Making sure the people are happy and safe from powerful threats.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The only thing tied to the role of king is usually a crown of gold with jewels. The make and look of the crown depends on the kingdom it was made in.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A king may be dismissed form his title either by an uprising from the people or death
